The Shapes Have My Vote

The shapes have it my vote.  Do you have a favorite Stampin’ Up! favorite shape? You can comment at the bottom of this post.  I used one of my latest favorite shapes.  One is the Stitched Triangles and the other is the Hippo and Friends Dies. The latter is one you may have missed because it part of the Hippo Happiness stamp set.  So check it out as you will be grabbing it a lot.

Yesterday I used the Stitched Triangles on a Christmas card for the Blog Hop.  It was combined with the Poinsettia Petals stamp set. You can find it by Order Now (Stitched Triangles)

Christmas’s Flower for the Hop

Hello, welcome to the Stampin’ Pretty Pals’ Blog Hop! This month our Design Team is showcasing “My Happiest Season.” We hope you enjoy and will be inspired by them! Don’t forget to leave comments! We love hearing from you. At the end of my post, you will find the full line-up to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal.

As I said on Monday, this is Blog Hop Week.  I hope you enjoyed Kylie’s, Blog Hop. Now today is Mary’s Blog Hop and hope you find more great ideas.   I had gotten a chance over the weekend to work with the Poinsettia Petals stamp set.  I was so glad I did because if you have been reading my news my son had a tree fall on the house.  It just missed Abby’s room (baby). Luckily it didn’t go through the window.

I am in love with the Poinsettia Place Suite.  The flower to create using the Poinsettia Petals stamp set is very easy to use.  Once created don’t forget to add Beaded Petals for the center of the flower.  It really makes the flower stand out.

Turtles Bringing Thanks

Before we get to this turtle card I want to tell you about the storm.  I have just returned from Winterset where my son lives.  He and Krysten are still shaken by yesterday’s storm.  They had hail damage in June and just had the roof replaced.  Now a large tree has fallen on the house.  It just missed the baby’s window.  There is structural damage.  They will know more once the tree is removed. My other son who was out of town didn’t escape damage either.  They had just a few months ago moved into their custom-built home. My understanding is some siding, furniture, windows, and a playhouse.  I am not sure what else as they were just on their way back.

So I decided to give you a very easy Thank You card to make using the beautiful or should I said say adorable Whale of a Time Designer Series Paper. I simply used the Designer Series Paper as a background and cut out some turtles to add to the card. To me, this is a clean and simple card because the only special part is cutting the circles.  Click here to

Here are a few of the storm damage photos.

Do you see the window in the debris?  That is where Abby’s room is located. Luckily no branch on that side to go into the window.
