Time to Dream

Stampin’ Up! Color Inspiration www.stampinpinkrose.com

With the COVID 19 going on many are not taking vacations. If they do it is mainly close to home. So I thought a little daydream might be an idea. If you know me, then you know the mountains are my favorite place. The scenery is breathtaking and I love hiking. It is so peaceful too.

So I decided to grab Stampin’ Up! Mountain Air Stamp Set. Then I did some playing with colors. I am sure you all recognize Balmy Blue, but can you tell what the other color is? No get is not Black in the mountains. I used the new 2020-2022 In Color Misty Moonlight.

Yes, I did use Black behind the circle, on the strip, and behind the Misty Moonlight, but didn’t like it. I think a contrast was needed in the mountain scene. I would love to hear what you think. Comment below this post.

I simply stamped from A Good Man stamp set the greeting “For You.” It is meant to be a birthday card. I am stamping inside “Birthday Wishes.” So many times we put that on the outside and I wanted to change it up.

What Makes Your Project Stand Out?

There is one essential element that makes your project stand out and that is not the stamp set. Yes, I know how much we love Stampin’ Up! stamp sets, but the part that makes it stand out is the colors. We now have 5 new colors and using those new ink pads and matching card stock will make your project stand out.

Today I want us to take a closer look at those colors…. Cinnamon Cider, Just Jade, Bumblebee, Magenta Madness, and Misty Moonlight. I have made a card using each of the colors and two different stamp sets/punches. Three of them used the Timeless Tulips and the other two used the Medium Daisy Punch. Then I used their colors in the 6″ x 6″ In Colors Designer Series Paper.

Special note: The ribbons that match them are on backorder. Adjustments are continually being made due to manufacturing issues with COVID 19. So I made my own ribbon to go with each color. By coloring each one with some white ribbon I had in my stockpile, I had the ribbon for each color.
