saying goodbye. It is time to say goodbye to the Flamingo in Lilypad Lake. It has been such a good friend and I will miss it. I created a very simple card.

The background simply sponged with the Flirty Flamingo ink. You will find this card works for a variety of occasions. I chose to make it thinking of you card, but this is a verse that will help to make it sympathy or get well card. Even that way you can still use Thinking of You on the outside of the card for your greeting.

Clock Is Ticking

The clock is ticking on retirement products. So I thought we need to take a journey on what we are saying goodbye too. I was exploring the old catalog and looking at what I have used least. One that I have not used a lot is Stampin’ Up! Over the Moon stamp set. I thought in these serious times a little pun would be good.

I chose the cow standing up with the Daisy. I used the words “Cow’s it Going?” We all need to check in on friends and family, why not use a funny card. This will bring a smile or a laugh.

Realize this stamp set does not need to be always funny. There are great words that are more serious. Check out this retirement card. I did the question mark in the bubble because retirement is whatever you want it to be.

Let Us Do a Flap and Fold

Today is Card Fold Friday. This means it is time for a card fold video. I am calling it a flap and a fold. It is super simple to do because it cutting and stamping. I used my Stamparatus, but you can stamp without it. I just think the Stamparatus makes stamping right where you want it.

I used Stampin’ Up! Soft Spring stamp set which is retiring. You use whatever stamp set and Designer Series Paper you want. Remember Stampin’ Up! makes it easy to coordinate colors. This card fold will work for any occasion.

Here are your measurements:

Card Base card stock 8 1/2″ x 4 1/4″ Score at 5 1/2″

A different color card stock (mine is green) 2 1/2″ x 9 1/2″ Score at 4 3/4″

White Card stock 2 1/4″ x 4 1/2″

Designer Series Paper (I used Garden Lane) 2 3/4 x 4″
