Who Does So Much For You?

I hope you are paying attention to your calendar.  My question above asks “who does so much for you?” should give you clue.  Mother’s Day of course.  Whether mother was stirring up the special treats for your birthday or helping you with that special school project, it is time to celebrate her.  I chose the Apron of Love stamp set with cute words “Bake with Love.”  It was in the Occasion’s Catalog and now will be in the Annual Catalog.  This stamp set is great because you will use it for a variety of occasions depending on how you do the colors.  It easily becomes a barbeque using red and black.  So stir up some love.

Nature’s Beauty

Before we get to nature’s beauty,  I want to show you something I worked on Saturday.  My oldest son is getting married in June.  It was requested that I make the Bridal Shower Invitations.   I agreed to do it but I  thought long and hard about what to create.  You see their theme is a beachy theme.  So to me, the standard umbrella invitation doesn’t fit.   This is what I ended up with.

Do you recognize the stamp set?   It is So Many Shells which is retiring and By the Tide long since retired.  I used the Seaside Embossing Folder.  I would love to hear your thoughts.

As you can see from the first photo and the title, I was thinking about nature.  I go out to a lovely park every evening and do 3 miles.  We have several lakes that I see as I walk around it. One of our frequent visitors is the herons.  So when I saw Lilypad Lake stamp set in the new catalog, I had to have it.  I colored the heron with gray and touch of blue.  Just like you see in nature.  So come take a stroll on the steps to make this card. Then request the catalog today so you can order this stamp set and many others. Click here for requesting the new catalog https://www.stampinpinkrose.com/catalog-re  and you will receive some special goodies in your package.

By the way, notice that it has no greeting.  I thought long and hard about it, but my walking partner said let the inside say what you want to say.  So this card will be perfect for thank you, get well, thinking of you, or birthday.  There is one more I would use for and that is Mother’s Day.  It is coming up so if you are one of the lucky ones that somehow manage to get your hands on it use it.

Feel the Balmy Breezes

Is Balmy Breezes in someone’s future?  This time of the year there always seems like someone is retiring.  Usually, this means lots of free time, peace, and quiet.  What can be more peacefully that the palm trees swaying and ocean waves lapping? Just using Waterfront, I created a perfect Retirement card.  I know this teacher is looking forward to those quiet days. She and her husband love to travel and enjoy cruises.

This card has texture all over it.  I used Seaside Embossing Folder and some ribbon.  The ribbon I used was Jute Ribbon which is retired.  I would have used Burlap Ribbon, but I am out of it.  Using the burlap ribbon would be like a sand color which would be fine. The sentiment was computer generated.

Don’t delay! Order your 2018-2019 Catalog today. It is FREE! Click here https://www.stampinpinkrose.com/catalog-re  You will find some goodies in your package.
