Adjusting to Topsy Turvy Is the Name of the Game!

Welcome to Topsy Turvy  week.   This week there will be a different schedule.  Your material that you normally receive will be coming just the days change.  I have received word that my preorder will be in on Wednesday which means the new exciting colors will be coming.  My UPS does not come till late in the day so I have decided this week only the newsletter will come out on Thursday.  This will give me time to prepare new information plus a peak at the new colors.   Wednesday will be Blog Hop and you will receive lots of great design ideas from stampers.  So WOW Wednesday will be Thursday.  Monday, Tuesday, and Friday will normal days.  So Card Fold Friday will have another great fold idea. I appreciate your understanding.

Before we start I need to remind you time is running out on the retired Stampin’ Up! products and you don’t want to miss out on these items plus you can save on some of them. Supplies are LIMITED! Remember I continue to offer projects with these on my blog site.

Now let us it on with the card design for Monday.  If you looked at and read yesterday’s blog, you saw my comment about six wedding cards needing to get done. So here is another wedding card.

DSC_0106 Love Birds

Base:  This is an all white card which signifity purity in the tradition of the wedding ceremony.

Focus:  Look at the darling love birds cuddling together around the oval cut out.

Tips

Stamp Set:  Occasional Quotes (retired) *

Color Combination:  White

Ink: Archival Black

Paper: Whisper White

Accessories: Bird Builder Punch, Oval Framelits, Big Shot, Tiny Triangles Embossing Folder

*Note: I absolutely love the Stampin’ Up! Occasional Quotes, but it is retired.  So in its place you could use Petite Pairs that has for the New Mr. and Mrs.  The Bird Builder Punch is retiring and I will continue to use it.  I love the bird and the branch.  The branch is so versatile.

Hearts Signal the Love One Shares

I am accomplishing two things at once with this wedding post.  I have 6 wedding cards to get done in the next week.  No, I do not have 6 weddings to go to, but I have an order for them.  Plus,  I have a Challenge with a background stamp.  So I used Timeless Texture for the background stamp and hearts on top.

Base:  The standard Whisper White cardstock which is always my base.  Whether it gets other cardstock on top depends on the design.

Focus:  The eyes should gravitate to the hearts, but should notice a peek of gold swirl behind them. It  is simple, but makes a statement that welcomes the new Mr. and Mrs.

Tips

Stamp Set:   Timeless Texture, Petite Pairs

Color Combination:  Pink, Gold

Ink: Gold Metallic Encore

Paper:  Gold Foil,Bride Blushing

Accessories:  Big Shot, Heart Collection,  Perfect Polka Dot Embossing Folder

Come Through the Gate of Happiness and Explore Happiness!

I don’t know about you, but one of my happiest places is my studio where all my Stampin’ Up! supplies are.  So today we are going in make a Gatefold Card. It is one that folds the same on both sides and meets in the middle. You will want some way to keep it closed. I used heart on one and a square on another card.  You could use a belly band, a clip, or a ribbon to help it stay closed.  As part of Card Fold Friday we need these variety of cards to spice up our designs.  Come watch the video and then explore my examples.

Measurements: 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″  base

score at 2 1/8″ and 6 3/8″ then fold

The here are the two examples in the video.
