It Is Monday Time for Tool

DSC_0040 Tea Time 1

It is a Monday and the sun is making an appearance.  So that means it is time for Tool of the Week.  Stampin’ Up! has so many different framelits/thinlits that I though we would focus on it.  You know with all the great framelits that makes choices harder.  So we may do two weeks of them.  I can’t hardly wait to see what is retiring out and what new is coming.  Of course, being a demonstrator we know ahead of you.

So today’s pick is A Nice Cuppa and the stamp even has a great Mother’s Day greeting.  I am using the coordinating framelit  titled Cups and Kettle Framelit Dies. It has all the pieces silverware, cup, kettle, sugar and creamer. I am thinking how great this would be on a treat bag with a gift card to a spa inside.  The cards I am presenting today are very similar, but different.  Then tomorrow in the newsletter you will get another  one that is totally different.  I think it is important to get all you can out of your stamps and particularly your framelits.

I just love this framelit.  It is perfect for reaching out to a friend.   What framelit do you love?  You can post it on my Facebook page.

How Sweet Is Your Pot? Time to Share!

Before you get Tool of the Week,  I have another challenge card to post.  This challenge is with the Global Design Project. So my question is how sweet is your pot?  Maybe you need to share this pot with someone especially sweet.  I used two stamp sets to create this card.

So you need to hop on over to the Global Design Challenge and see all the other great creations once you have finished with me.   http://www.global-design-project.com/p/schedule.html

Tips:

Stamp Set:  Bear Hugs, Apple of My Eye

You need to take a second look all the parts of the Bear Hugs because there is so much you can do with all the parts.  More of the bear coming this week.

Color Combination: Watermelon Wonder, Crushed Curry, Delightful Dijon

On this challenge the color was not the importance, but rather the design.  I could use any stamp sets, but I thought these colors were perfect.

Ink:  Were the colors above with Delightful Dijon marker for coloring the pot.  The words were stamped with Tip Top Taupe.

Paper: Watermelon Wonder, Whisper White

Card Fold Friday Video

Card Fold Friday is here and I chose to do a V Fold Card. Again it is a simple card with an open style.  Watch the video to see what I mean.  I have a bonus card below it.

Measurement:   Base card 4 1/4″ x 8 1/2″

Score at 2 3/4″ and 8 1/4″

Inside piece:  3 3/4″ x 5″ and  3 1/2″x 4 3/4″

Remember the Tool of the Week is embellishments.  So this card uses two embellishments —  button and ribbon.  I chose this delightful stamp because I think it will work for any gender.  Afterall, you have Father’s Day coming up in a couple of months.  Also, think about this as retirement card or graduation.  So circle the globe with this card.
