I am truly excited over the new In Colors. I have paired two together that I think make a beautiful card. I used Parakeet Party and Orchid Oasis. I love the new green. There is a difference between it and Pear Pizzazz. It is a brighter green. No, it is not neon.

This stamp set was immediately my favorite. I had to have it because the birds are so different from what we had in the past. It has a nest in the stamp set you can easily cut out.

Notice the birds as one is reversed. It is called Reverse Stamping. More about it next week.

Spring Is Here

Before we look at a Spring card with the In Colors, I trust every Mom had a Happy Mother’s Day and a great weekend. I know for most of us it was a busy one. I had Farmer’s Market in Ames, Iowa on Saturday. It was their first one of 2022 and was excellent. Then I did the Botanical Center on Sunday. What a joy to see the beautiful plants in bloom. It has been a cold unsettled Spring. Finally, it is looking like Spring or maybe I should say Summer as our temperatures this week are approaching ninety.

Did you notice a goof last week? I was working on Friday’s post on Thursday and forgot to schedule it for Friday. I actually scheduled it for Thursday. Hence you received the post a day early. This is why there was no Friday post. Sorry about that.

So let us get started with a colorful Spring card. I used three of the new In Colors… Sweet Sorbet, Parakeet Party, and Tahitian Tide. I created a side panel by cutting strips of the three colors. Then stamped and punched out the bird from the Sweet Songbirds stamp set. The bird was stamped with Sweet Sorbet. The wing was punched out in Sweet Sorbet cardstock.

Who Likes Concept Cards?

Are wondering what a concept card is? It is a card that can be easily changed. For example, change the color, change the label die, or in this case the Designer Series Paper. I created this card earlier and didn’t get it posted. So it is a retired Designer Series Paper. I am thinking this would be perfect for the new Happiness Abounds Designer Series Paper. I would love to see your creation.
