Can We Party?

This is Kiley’s Blog Hop and I thought a party card would be perfect. Besides, we all are getting Covid-19 fatigue.  So can we party at a Social Distance?  I know my son and his wife are planning a small birthday party for their youngest on the first of August.

I didn’t party yesterday, but I did change up my routine.  My friend Mary Ann and I visited a small golf course out of town.  We had a great time on this nine-hole called River Bend in Story City.  Then dawning our mask we stopped in Ames and ate at Hickory Park.  The food was great and they did a great job with Social Distancing. I am getting a little tired of cooking.

Anyway, back to this card. I used the Zany Zebras and the Rainbow Glimmer Paper.  You have to have this paper.  You will find it on page 153 in the Annual Catalog. By the way, if you don’t have the catalog. You can request it right here. Just click on the catalog.

Note: I used some Magenta Madness and Granny Apple Green Blends or Marker to color their hats.

Paper: Remember I always use Whisper White as my base.

  • Whisper White 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″
  • Black 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″, 4 1/4″ x 3″

Embellishment:  What embellishment do you like to use?

  • Dimensionals

The Concept Card Video

Today I am reshowing a video that I did quite a while back,  but I want you to focus on the concept of the card and how you can adapt it to today’s stamp sets and Designer Series Paper.  Then after watching the video see how I changed it to the current stamp set and Designer Series Paper.

 

Measurements:

Base 4 1/8″ x 9″  Score at 5 1/2″

Gatefold ” x 8 1/” (same color as the base) Score each side at  1/8″

Rectangle on the Gatefold strip 1 3/4″ x1 7/8″ *

I left this off on my card.

the DSP 1 1/2″ x 1 7/8″

Inside the card 3 7/8″ x 5 1/4″

Flap on the Top of the ard (Front)

3 1/4″ x 3 7/8″

DSP 3″ x 3 5/8″

I used the Beautiful World stamp set and dies (World Map). The color was Misty Moonlight and Cinnamon Cider. These are brand new colors. The Designer Series Paper (DSP) World of Good.

Remembering Yesterday’s Stamp Set
