Critter Time Blog Hop

Welcome to the Pals’ Blog Hop! We’re so glad you’re here. You may be starting the hop here or coming from a previous Pal’s blog. Either way, you’ve come to the right place. This month we are celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Pals Blog Hop with “Critters” from the Stampin’ Pretty Pals. Many of the design team members are offering “Mystery Blog Candy” of their choice to 1 lucky winner. To play along, just leave a comment on as many blog posts as desired. A random winner will be announced on a subsequent blog post by each participating design team member. You’ll find the full line-up below to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal.

Card #1

Card #2

I love all the critters Stampin’ Up! offers.  You can find them in the Annual Catalog and in the Mini Catalog plus the Sale-a-bration.  The choices are wide-ranging. However, I think the favorite has been the Little Ladybug in the Sale-a-bration Brochure.  It has been my favorite.  I have made numerous cards with it.

So today I stepped it up by using the Corrugated 3 D Embossing Folder. Don’t forget to Spritzer the cardstock first. It breaks the fibers down a little so it doesn’t tear.  I think it makes the ladybug stand out.  I did it in two cards in different two different colors…Bermuda Bay and Melon Mambo.  I would love to hear what you think.

Spring Friends

Have you noticed that we have three new friends in the Mini Catalog?  They are part of the Welcome Easter stamp set. You will find these cute critters on page 45.  I know the bunny, chick, and lamb will jump into your heart.

Using the Blends coloring these critters are super simple to color. Then to make them stand out use the So Sweetly Stitched Dies. Don’t forget to use the new Designer Series Paper …..Pleased as Punch as the background paper.  After you have done that sprinkle some flowers around with the Small Bloom Punch.

Remember you earn Sale-a-bration items from both releases when you order $50 of Stampin’ Up! product from any catalog. This offer ends on March 31st. Many items are disappearing. So don’t wait.

Adding Color to Specialty Paper

When was the last time you used your Brayer or have you never used a Brayer?  In case, you are wondering a Brayer a sponge on a stick that rolls.  It is a great way to add one color or multiple colors.

this technique is perfect for an item in the Second Release from Stampin’ Up! I received yesterday my Second Release products and one of them is the Flowering Foils Speciality Paper. I chose the Plaid like pattern.  So come watch the video.

Colors used were Coastal Cabana, Bermuda Bay, and Pretty Peacock Ink.

The Brayer #14714 in the Annual Catalog.
