There are changes coming for us on all fronts. For some it is back to school and others a last vacation.  Mine is coming up in a couple of weeks.  Right now we are heading for a cool down.  I don’t think it will last.  It always seem we heat up with back to school, but I will take what I can get. The ninities is wearing on me. Yes, I know we have air.

So I thought maybe to celebrate the cooler weather with Rooted Nature. Are You Busy?

I trust you had a great weekend, but a busy one.  My weekend was relatively quiet which is what I wanted after a busy week.  In fact the last two weeks have been busy.  Two weeks ago, we celebrate my grandson’s first birthday.  As you can see he really got into the cake.

Last week was the busiest of the two weeks with baseball game, golf with friends, and girl’s night out at the fair.  I took my son and his new wife to an Iowa Cubs game.  It was her first baseball game and she really enjoyed it.  I think she is really ready to go again.  Thursday night was golf and it was too hot for me.  I don’t play well with the heat and my putts were terrible.  Friday Mary Ann and I took in the fair. It was a beautiful evening.  The Iowa State Fair is a great one and people come from all over to see it.  I couldn’t believe there was only two pounds separating the biggest boar from the other boar.

I think you can see why I was glad for a quiet weekend.  I focused a lot on Halloween cards for my craft shows coming up.  I still have a few more to make particularly with the new Halloween stamps.  My Holiday order is coming in on Tuesday.   Do you have the Holiday catalog?  You can request one right on this site. https://www.stampinpinkrose.com/catalog-request I asked earlier are you busy because a lot of you are focusing getting children ready for school or college.  So take a moment to request the catalog so it will be waiting for you when it quiets down. I thought we all could use a very peaceful card which means tranquility for me.  So I dug out Lilypad Lake, but didn’t stop there.  I wanted a focus on the sailboats so I thought I would frame them with Swirl Frames.  This is a new stamp that I have hardly used.  Next we needed some tranquil paper which would come from Twinkle Twinkle Designer Series Paper. Now that you have made this card, think who would enjoy it.  This card will be perfect as a birthday, get well, think of you or a baby.  I always think it is wonderful to have a card for a variety of occasions.
