Multiple Purpose Card

Do you ever wish you had a multiple purpose card?  I mean a design that can be used in several ways.   I have one for you and best of all this is a carryover stamp set.  This means you can order it past the Holiday Catalog.  I am glad it is going to be around. Maybe it will be in the new Annual Catalog in June. We will have to wait and see.  So don’t wait! Get it now.  Are you wondering which stamp set I am talking about?  It is Winter Woods.  You can order it as a stamp set or a bundle.  I would it the bundle and save 10%.  You will use the framelits.  In fact, I have a card that uses the framelits on my Facebook page which you can see by clicking here, but don’t do it just yet.  Check out the making of this card first.  https://www.facebook.com/stampinpinkrose/

I made it a Christmas card, but nothing says you can’t change the greeting to a birthday, get well, thinking of you, or a Father’s Day card.  Did you notice the background is the Buffalo Check?  It is also another carryover stamp set.  This one must be in your Stampin’ Up! collection.  You will be seeing me do a lot with it after the first of the year.  Maybe even before.  You will need to just keep watching.  To order any of these stamps just click here  https://www.stampinup.com/ecweb/default.aspx

One More Card That Sparkles

Welcome to the Pals monthly blog hop. We’re so glad you’re here! December is time for glitz and bling with  “All that Sparkles & Shines”. Today we feature projects that sparkle or shine. Maybe even a little of both.

You may be starting the hop here or coming from a previous Pal’s blog. Either way, you’ve come to the right place. You’ll find the full line-up below to help you move, or “hop” along from Pal to Pal.

Sometimes we need just one more card and not any card will do.  That card needs to shine or should I say sparkle.  As this Blog Hop’s theme is sparkle, I thought the Dashing Deer would fit that requirement.  All I needed to do was use the Dazzling Diamond Glimmer paper on the deer.  The Detailed DeerThinlits makes using this deer so easy.  Of course, I need to jazz it up more.  So out came the Swirls and Curls Embossing Folder.

Flower of the Season

The Poinsettia was my mother’s favorite flower this time of year.  She had these flowers all over the house.  No, I am not talking two or three, but rather six or eight.    So when I saw the Stylish Christmas stamp set.   I didn’t care if it didn’t have the framelits.  I knew it was on the short list of must-haves.  I think this is my fourth card with this stamp set.  When you color and cut it out it looks so realistic.  I used two shades of red. .. the Real Red and Cherry Cobbler Blends. So share some love with this flower.

The flower originally grew in a certain region of Mexico.  It supposes to given at the birth of Jesus and opened for him. At the time it was considered a weed.   When it opened it was thought to be a miracle.  The red colored leaves symbolize the blood of Christ.  The shape of the poinsettia flower and leaves are sometimes thought as a symbol of the Star of Bethlehem which led the Wise Men to Jesus.  When you see white Poinsettias it symbolizes purity. So let us rejoice over this beautiful flower.\
