As you can see the topic is our favorite Holiday.  I love Halloween, but is short lived and not a lot of fun with children not in the house.  So I have to say Christmas is truly my Holiday.  It takes me a minimum of four days to decorate all three floors.  I put up three Christmas trees and they are not small ones.  Even the bathrooms get decorated.  Along with the hallways and balcony come the greenery.  The fireplace is decorated and the grandchildren’s stockings are hung over the fireplace. Each grandchild has their name on their stocking.  No detail can be missed for Christmas.  Happy Holidays!

So my card has the first thing that goes on the Christmas trees.  The lights of course and I have to say not my favorite part of decorating the trees. They always seem to get tangled, but they sure make the decorations stand out.

Where Oh Where IS…..

I decided this card is just too cute to wait.  Can you tell what is missing?  It is the spider.  Hence the title “Where Oh Where Is…”  The spider is on order.  I somehow missed on my first order.    Do you ever miss something in the Stampin’ Up! Catalog?  There are always so many wonderful things to see.  I think Stampin’ Up! outdid themselves on this catalog particularly the Halloween products.  So you need to order your Halloween supplies today because Halloween will be here before you know it.

A reminder that tomorrow is Blog Hop and I know you will find many wonderful ideas.  The theme is your favorite season or holiday.  I will give you a hint that it is the big one for me.  As a result of the Hop, there will be no technique.  However, I am rescheduling Facebook and feel the problems are resolved.  So it will be at 4 o’clock with ideas from the Holiday Catalog and we will stroll through it.  So please join me.  Also, there will be a party at my house on Sunday 1 to 4 with prizes and a goodie bag for everyone.  If you reserve a spot by sending an email you will have a ticket waiting for you.

If you are one that had a boy or girl go off to college,  I imagine you have shed a tear or two.  Maybe this is the last one to leave the house.  Okay, it is time to think of the positives.

  • one less dinner plate
  • one less load of laundry
  • one less activity to go to
  • No school Conference
  • No more drama

Okay, I know you miss some of these things,  but think of what you gain

  • More time to pursue your stamping,

 

 

So when you are pursuing your stamping create a card for that boy or girl who has left the house.  One of the stamps I have found the teenagers or young adults love are the animals.   I get the periodic request for a cute animal.  I just ordered the Postcard Pals, but today I am using Hedgehugs.  It has the cutest squirrel.  Remember they love their independence, but love getting the mail.
