As I wait for the new catalog items to come in, I am going back to a carryover stamp set. .. Awesomely Artistic and Stylized Birthday. This was a great stamp set to show you the use of color. I have two cards using the same stamp, but has a variance in the color. They start out the same (both stamped in Night of Navy), but the coloring of the flowers change ever so slightly. Take a color and see if you notice the difference.
The first is colored with Night of Navy in the flowers.
The second one is colored with Marina Mist.
Which one do you like.? I prefer the Marina Mist. There is so much Night of Navy in this card. Personally, I think the Marina Mist lightens the color with your stamping lines in Night of Navy. You can see another card using this stamp set on my Facebook.
Tips and Tricks
Color Combination: Sometimes keeping it simple is best if you can. So keeping it to two or three colors. In this case, it is actually four colors which you really don’t notice a lot. I referring to the green on the leaves.
