It’s Mom Time

Welcome to the Families First Pals Blog Hop for April 2017.  We are thankful you stopped by to take a look at our 2017 Blog Hop monthly themes.  This month we are featuring projects that are all about our families. This is a great time of year to think about what to make for Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, or upcoming graduations. And, family vacations are just around the corner… how would you want to remember those special family moments? We hope to provide you with lots of ideas and that you enjoy our creations.

You may just be starting the Blog Hop or may have come from the previous link from the Line-up on the Pals Blog Hop listing shown below.  The full lineup will help you move along from blog to blog so you may see all the projects.

I thought a Spring Basket for Mother’s Day would be perfect.  So naturally I am going to use the Basket Bunch and the Basket Builder Framelit Die.  I am sorry to see this retiring as this set is so versatile.  At least the Petal Burst Embossing Folder is staying.

Hold Your Horses….Retirement Is Here

No I am not retiring, but some Stampin’ Up! products are retiring.  So you need to check them out.  On second thought check them twice so you don’t miss anything.  I will give you the link so you can print it, but before you it preoccupied.  I have a card to show you and yes this stamp  is retiring.  You can still get in the Occasions catalog till May 31st.  I just love the rocking horse.  So in honor of my new grandson due this summer…here is a baby card.

Stampin’ Up! Baby card made with Little Cuties stamp set and designed by Demo Pamela Sadler. See more cards at stampinkrose.com #stampinkpinkrose #etsycardstrulyheart

Before we get to the card, I want to tell you the wonderful time I had in Minneapolis with OnStage.  I was a Display Stamper.  Here is a picture of my display.

Retirement List available here file:///C:/Users/Sadler/Documents/Retiring%20Stamps%202017.html

I learned a lot of great ideas I will sharing over the next few weeks. Also, I met a lot of great Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators and swap cards with them.  I will be showing these periodically on my blog.  However, the most exciting thing was getting the 2017-2018 Annual Catalog.  I want you think about joining Stampin’ Up! as a Demonstrator so you can join me in November. It will be sooner than we think.

Tips and Tricks

Color:  I used gray and brown with just a touch of color in Flirty Flamingo. So this card will be perfect whether it is a boy or girl.

Stamp Set: Little Cutties as so many cute little friends for different occasions. If you have an animal lover, you don’t want to miss this retiring stamp set.

  • Little Cuties

Little Cuties Photopolymer Stamp Set

Ink:  What color do you think of for a horse? Brown, black, gray.  I chose gray because I wanted to keep it light.

  • Smoky Slate
  • Early Espresso
  • Flirty Flamingo
  • Tempting Turquiose

Paper:  Tie your card together with your colors.

  • Flirty Flamingo
  • Whisper White

Designer Series Paper:   Find a color in your pattern Designer Paper and tie together. With the browns it is fairly easy. The dotted is from the Neutrals, but the pattern behind is a retired piece that I liked the looks of with the horse.

  • Neutral Designer Series Paper

Accessories: Blender Pens, Trimmer

Stampin’ Up! Easter card made with Painter’s Palette stamp set and designed by Demo Pamela Sadler. See more cards at stampinpinkrose.com #stampinkpinkrose #etsycardstrulyheart

Well,  it is time for the bunny to make an appearance.   As it hops into this post, I am preparing to head to On Stage.  I am so excited to see everyone and see the new catalog.  As a demonstrator I get to see the new Stampin’ Up stamps and more.  Also, I will know what is retiring. I will bring you the retirement list on April 10th.  I hate you are missing all the fun. If you join my team as a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator you can join me in the fall for another On Stage.  Just email me http://pamela@stampinpinkrose.com

Now for this adorable chocolate bunny and who doesn’t love a Chocolate bunny.  You might think of it as a portrait of love for all chocolate lovers.

Tips and Tricks

Stamp Set:  What a great stamp to showcase your work as portrait!  Then add the  rabbit and eggs from the Basket Bunch.

  • Painter’s Paletta
  • Basket Bunch
  • Circle of Spring (words)

Challenge: Paper Player’s is an Easter bunny card. So to me what is Easter without the Chocolate bunny. Oh yum! You can find all the other Easter cards at http://thepaperplayers.blogspot.com/

Color:  If it is Easter, then it must be Spring which means bright cheery colors. I chose a retiring color Watermelon Wonder with a little Garden Green for grass.

Ink:  Don’t forget use to use your retiring colors and order the ink refills before they are gone.

  • Watermelon Wonder
  • Early Espresso
  • Cucumber Crush
  • Delightful Djon

Paper:

  • Whisper White
  • Garden Green

Designer Series Paper:  Adding Designer Series paper can add so much to your creation.

  • In Color 2015-2016
