Lately there has been a lot of balloons or flowers,  I decided we need a quick simple card.   I decided on a thank you card.  I always seem short on them.  This is part of the Paper Pals  Art Challenge (PPA) that I am participating in today. Base: Bermuda Bay cardstock is where you start building with Whisper White on top.

Focus:  The starbursts are your focus point in your colors.

Tips

Color Combination:  Bermuda Bay, Pool Party, Crushed Curry

Ink:   Crushed Curry, Bermuda Bay, Pool Party

Paper:  Bermuda Bay, Whisper White, Crushed Curry, Pool Party

Accessories:  1″ Circle Punch, Trimmer

Card Fold Friday – Here Comes Mr. Z!

DSC_0137 Z Fold Garden

Mr. Z is making an appearenace for today’s Card Fold Friday.  That is the Z Fold.  This fold allows you to showcase whatever stamp design tickles your fancy.  So I chose the The Gift from the Garden Stamp Set.  After all, spring is here and a lot of us are in the garden.  So come play with me!

Measurements:  5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ card base

Score at 2 1/8″ on one side only

Panels:  2″ x 5 1/4″ and 4″ x 5″  for a pattern or print paper

3 3/4″ x 4 3/4″ (adjust size  on how much pattern paper you want to show) white cardstock

 

Base:  For a change I used Melon Mambo instead of Whisper White.

Focus:  This card has two focuses: the unique fold that looks like a Z and the panel with Gift of the Garden stamped on it.

Base:   Whisper White with the green popping out at us and just a touch of black.

Focus:  The eyes are drawn to the bright green frog sitting on the stark white background.  Those eyes that are piercing you are done in Sweet Sugarplum.

Note: For the twine with the ribbon, I colored it with the Sweet Sugarplum marker.
