Special Memories to Heal the Heart

Unfortunately it seems we all need Sympathy cards. This card is perfect to share with a friend regardless of their gender. I dug out a good standby stamp called Thoughts and Prayers stamp set. Using the branch as my focal with the great greeting which a statement, makes a great simple card. I just dressed it up a little.

Here are the directions:

1) Cut card base out with SU Whisper White cardstock measuring
5 1/2 x 8 1/2″ and fold with your bone folder.
2) Cut Baked Brown Sugar cardstock to 4 1/4″ 5 1/2″ and adhere to the card
base.
3) Cut a strip of Cajun Craze cardstock 1″ x 4 1/4″ and adhere to
Crumb Cake.
4) Add a piece of Blackberry Bliss 3/4″ x 4 1/4″ to the Cajun Craze
strip.
5) Add a button with linen thread woven through the holes.
6) Cut a Blackberry Bliss cardstock cut 3 1/2″ x 3 3/4″. Set aside.
7) Cut Whisper White cardstock 3″ x 3 1/2″.
8) Stamp the tree branch in Mossy Meadow.
9) Place the greeting on the front just below the bend of the branch.
10) Adhere to Blackberry Bliss and add to the card.

Bright Purple Flowers with Special Wishes

This bright purple flower card is using your embossing folder with a technique called Embedded Embossing with the Folder. I have a video posted below to show how to do this technique. However, you need to start with the card. Whisper White cardstock is your base (cut 5 1/2″ x 8/2″ and boned at 4 1/4″). Stamp with Stampin’ Up! Painted Petals stamp in Rich Razzleberry for flowers. See picture. The stem is done in Pear Pizzazz. Run this through your embossing folder. I used Square Lattice , but you can use Fan or Tiny Triangles embossing folder. You will need a 2″ x 2 1/4″ piece of Rich Razzleberry cardstock for part of your greeting. Using your aprox. 1 3/4″ scallop punch it out in Whisper White cardstock. In the Rich Razzleberry paper, punch a oval scallop out. Stamp on Whisper White paper Mother’s Day using Crazy About You stamp set and then with the smaller oval punch it out. Remember you will need to stamp each word separately to get this placement. Just the word you don’t want scotch tape and remove when you stamp. Layer on top of the scallop oval.
