I have a new die set that I have not used. It is not in the Annual Catalog. You will find it in Stampin’ Up! as a search. The die set is called Radiating Stitches Dies (#161595). I decided to make it a colorful card for a friend who has been ill. I thought this would cheer up Nancy. This concept is wonderful because you could use any color and create for any occasion.

On Monday I used this Designer Series Paper for a card. I had paper left over and scraps that needed to be used. I find if I don’t use scraps they have a tendency to get lost. This paper is too pretty to get lost.

This is a simple card, but the Cut and Emboss Machine are needed to cut the circles. I used my favorite dies Stylish Shapes. I made it a thank you card, but you can make it what you need.

Special Note: I used some retired ribbon from when Lost Lagoon was out before.

Time to put together a card. For those starting, you are asking where to start. You already who you are making the card for and the occasion. So let us think birthday or thinking of you for this card.

Next, I chose the stamp set. Followed by the colors. The latter will play in with the Stampin’ Up! Designer Series Paper. Your ink will depend on the colors you chose.

Ask yourself what will be the focus and get the receiver’s attention. This plays into the display of your stamp set. So I chose to frame the image and add interest with the Designer Series Paper that ties with the colors. For added interest, I added a ribbon as embellishment.
