Poinsettias Offer Variety of Colors

Last Friday I shared a Poinsettia card with you on my blog.  Today I am bringing you another one as we wrap up Christmas cards.  This is not the traditional color of a Poinsettia.  Did you know they come in a variety of colors?  There are white ones and pink ones along with the traditional red Poinsettias.  I just learned from a friend there are yellow ones. She just received one from her church.   So today’s Poinsettia is the pink variety. I think it is beautiful.

I think what makes this card stand out is the Plush Poinsettia Specialty Paper.  It was on Close Out Sale and I don’t know if it is still available.  I ordered a couple of packages because I plan on keep using them.  I was so sad to see it on the retired list.  However, the Poinsettia Dies are not retiring.

Notice that I did this as a Christmas card. Can you imagine this as a Christmas Wedding card by changing the greeting?  I think it would be elegant.

Share the Love

Fill the house with love by using the beautiful Poinsettia plants.  I have these plants scattered all through my home.  It was a favorite plant of my mother and signaled the Holidays were near.

So I was naturally delighted when the new Poinsettia Petals stamp set appeared to my eyes in the Holiday Mini Catalog. I think it is the best Poinsettia stamp set that Stampin’ Up! has put out because the image is imprinted. So when you use the die and cut it out the work is done for you. You don’t need to stamp. Just cut.

The Designer Series Paper I used is in the closeout.   I am so sad it will not be in the carryover.  This paper is not limited to Holiday cards.
