Stampin’ Up! has done it again by stepping up for romance. The Forever Blossoms are perfect for that special occasion. Look at the delicate flowers with the detail.
Blends: Each of the flowers are colored with Light Pool Party and then shaded around the edges and center with Dark Pool Party. The leaves receive the same amount of attention. First colored with Granny Apple Green Light and then each line receives my attention with the Dark Granny Apple Green.
So let us peel back how this beautiful card was put together. It has many layers. It all starts with the Pool Party Cardstock.
*Bottom Pool Party Cardstock 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″
Next Layer Embossed Pool Party 4″ x 5 1/4″
Center Pieces Whisper White 3/4″ x 4 1/4″ and followed with the stamped image Whisper White Cardstock 2 3/4″ x 4 1/2″
Word Piece Pool Party 1″ x 2″, Whisper White 3/4″ x 1 3/4″
*I always have a base of Whisper White Cardstock 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ Scored at 4 1/4″. I like the effect of white inside.
Using an embossed piece of cardstock adds interest because of the details. Just make sure it ties to the mood or occasion of the card. In this case, I used the new Parisian Flourish 3D Embossing Folder. You can find it in the new Mini Catalog on page 15.
Embellishment is here, but it is subtle because of using the Wink of Stella in the center of the flowers.
Greeting (sentiment): Is the “Always and Forever” words in the stamp set. Stamped in Memento Black Ink. By the way, I always think of sentiment is what is inside the card. That came from the same stamp set. So all you need for the card is in one stamp set.
I didn’t forget the inside of the card. Let us peek inside.
Notice the flower in the corner from the same stamp set. It was colored just like the flowers on the front of the card.
