someone’s special day?  My oldest son’s birthday is at the end of the week.  He is the one whose wife is expecting in April.  Can you believe the kids did it again?  Every time I have a new grandbaby coming I am scheduled to travel.  This time On Stage.  The first time it was Hawaii.

Anyway, this card is not his birthday card today. I think this one is too feminine.  I will show his card on Thursday.  So stay tuned for a masculine card. On Friday I showed you a cupcake birthday card and today it is a cake one. There are so many ways to use the Piece of Cake stamp set.  You have different ways to decorate it.  The cake alone has different styles of cake plus cake toppers. It is Time to Celebrate!

Are you ready to celebrate someone’s special birthday? The Occasion’s Catalog is oozing with birthday ideas.  So whoever you are celebrating you are sure to find an idea.  Every now and then we need to change the card fold.  Don’t think life would be boring if we sent the same card fold?  So today’s card is a Z fold.  It is not as complicated as you think. I have made it easy for you to make this card.  I dusted off a video for you from my archives and then I put graphics up with measurements.  What could be simpler!

You can use these measurements for any stamp set you want to use.

 

Here is the completed card.  Do you see the goof that I made?  It is the cupcake on the right. It is too low, but I don’t have time to correct it. I got a late start on this card as we have a Winter Storm Warming and went out and did my grocery shopping before it moved in.  It was to start after 3 o’clock.
