In a few weeks, the Magnolias will be blooming. Of course, this means Spring. Hey! I think all of us are looking forward to it. So I decided to bring a little Spring to my post. Time to Color the Flowers

I was thinking the other day about how many ways we can color are flowers. We can use the Blends, Aqua Painter, Blender Pens, Write Marker and stamp the image on cardstock by using two different colors. However, there is one other that is a technique. You use your Ink Refills, Yes, you use them with the Aqua Painter and Blend Pens, but this technique uses neither. I have done videos over the years using this technique…….Baby Wipes. I think sometimes we forget it. Yet it is so easy and is not limited to flowers.

Let Us Change Color

I have been using a lot of Petal Pink with the Happy Birthday to You. So I decided to change up the colors. I used Highland Heather for the flowers on the cake. I didn’t stop there on color. I used Shaded Spruce for the leaves. In fact, I liked that color for the leaves so well that I am using them on another card. However, the cake is still Petal Pink because of the soft color. It almost appears creme color.

I don’t know about you, but we sometimes get stuck in a rut. I would love to hear from you on the colors I chose. So comment below. Oh, did you notice one other color? It is a very slight amount of Blackberry Bliss. I think it makes the flowers pop.
