Say Hello to Sunshine with More Roses

Yesterday I gave you a card with Petal Palette done in red.  Today you are getting the roses in a beautiful yellow.  I changed the embossing folder that I used yesterday.  Remember how I said how much texture adds to your card.  So this time I used the Petal Pair Embossing Folder.  Using a variety of embossing folders really changes up your card.  Notice the center paper is done a little different because I used the new Trio Punch.  I was lucky to have got that punch at On Stage. Remember you can combine different colors and yellow.  They will work together.

I made this a thank you card, but I consider this a concept card.  All need to do is change the greeting for whatever occasion you need.  Regardless, this card will surely put a smile on their face.  So order this stamp set now because it is a must-have stamp set.  Remember to use the Hostess Code for orders for under $150 to get your rewards. Over $150 is automatic.  Hostess Code 7HWE2ZFPM

What Makes Your Card Stand Out?

I get a question different times asking how to make your cards stand out.  I always go back to the aesthetic looks of your card.  When you design a card always ask yourself “what makes this particular card stand out?” Have you added some form of texture to your card?  This texture can be a ribbon or cord, embossing paste, or embossing folder.

Today’s card uses an embossing folder that is not retiring.  I used Garden Trellis as my embossing folder.  One of my golf friends ask for a Thank You card and she happens to grow the gorgeous roses.  She truly has the green thumb.  So I went back to Petal Palette stamp set.  I am so glad it made it into the new catalog which by the way has several new embossing folders coming out in June.

This card is what I call a Concept card because all you need to do is change the greeting. So think of it as a Mother’s Day card or a Get Well card.
