I think everyone is talking about the retiring products and colors. Have you ordered your retirement products? They are going fast.  One of my favorite stamps is retiring and I think you are going to miss a great stamp if you don’t order it.  The reason I think it is a great stamp is that of the versatility.  Think birthday, thinking of you, new home, and get well.   Okay, I know are wondering what stamp I am talking about.  It is Flying Home.  I love the bird sitting on its birdhouse.  After the wicked start of spring, this card speaks it makes me cheery.  I know the receiver will feel the same way.  If you would like to own this card then do the 365 Day Challenge. Something New in the Garden

Okay, I think Spring has finally taken hold.  The flowers have been quite impatient about this weather.  The daffodils are in full bloom and they are gorgeous.    I just love them because they are the first to bloom in the  Spring.  You should plant some of the bulbs in the Fall. Take a look at mine.

Today’s card is using You’re Inspiring Stamp Set.  It was in the Occasion part of the Sale-a-bration and you will find it in the new Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog.  Don’t forget it has a sentiment for Mother’s Day as part of the set.  I made sure when I created this card that it has texture.  I think adding texture whether it is Embossing Paste or the embossing folder makes the card stand out.  In this case, I used a retired one called Stylish Stripes. You can use the new one called Simple Stripes and it will work perfectly.

Just Use the Paper

Stampin’ Up! always gives us lovely paper.  Sale-a-bration had the beautiful foil paper called Springtime Foils which you can still find out the retirement list.  I took the flowers and colored them with the Blends and cut them apart.  By simply coloring and cutting the flowers out, it makes it a Clean and Simple card. I think this printed paper is my favorite of the ones you can color.
