Chill In the Air Means

With the chill in the air at night, I am almost ready to start my fireplace up.  I am trying to hold off as we are going to warm up some, but its time to think about the seasons changing.  Last week I combined the Rustic Retreat with Snow Frost. Today I am letting Rustic Retreat stand on its own.  I can just picture this cabin in the woods with the fireplace going and couples curling up or maybe someone curling up with a good book.

I have been mentioning the use of background stamps.  There is a perfect background stamp for Rustic Retreat… Birch.  I won that On Stage when it came out.  I was not sure about it but has become one of my favorite stamps.

This is a Clean and Simple card because all you are doing is stamping and coloring.

Signs of Winter

Multiple Uses with a Die

Last week we discuss creating and background plus you received a technique tip.  The stamp set I used was So Many Stars.  If you missed it, then go back and check last week’s post because today is using this technique.  We are using a different background.  It is the new Hammered Metal Embossing Folder.  It is part of the Christmas Gleaming Suite. You can use all these products and change them into whatever occasion you want.  Thinking of the star strip as a star stunned birthday card.

I am continuing with a Christmas card today.  I truly believe it is neither too early to get the Christmas cards.  This card is a subtle Religious card because of the words.  You could change the words, but I always think of that Christmas Eve a long time ago with stars.
