It Is Party Time

Do you know what day this is? It is a party day! So let us get the party started with cake. After all, that is a birthday party without a cake? Stampin’ Up! even made it easier to create this cake. The cake comes from Happy Birthday to You, but that is not all. Today you can order the dies for the cake and flowers. I know when you see this card, you are going to want it.

BIRTHDAY DIES

I colored the flowers in Flirty Flamingo using the Blend Pens. They appear darker because of the shading. The cake received a lighter application of Flirty Flamingo and the leaves were done in Granny Apple Green. The cake stand received an application of Smoky Slate. You will need your Ink Refills.

Colors Make a Statement

So if colors make a statement for your card. Are you making a statement? This is part of the reason that makes your projects stand out. However, we all gravitate to certain colors. It may be specific colors or shades of that color. Then there are ones we rarely use. Stampin’ Up! helps us in two ways. One is the beautiful designer series with a mired of colors and then continues to help us by listing the colors. I used a different one of the Lily Impressionist Designer Series Paper here than I used with the Z Fold card on Friday. If you missed it here is the link Card Fold with Video

This is especially true of the Lily Impression Paper. It has tons of colors reaching out to us. I used a color that I rarely use… Grapefruit Grove.
