Blog Hop Time with Christmas

Welcome to the Pals October 2018 Blog Hop. It’s a spooky time of year so watch out for “Wicked Folds” while you hop from blog to blog. We promise not to be too scary.

You may be starting the hop here or coming from a previous Pal’s blog. Either way, you’ve come to the right place. You’ll find the full line-up below to help you move, or “hop” along from Pal to Pal.

Have you started on your Christmas cards?   Everyone said that August and September flew by.  October seems to be doing the same thing.  I spent last weekend working on Christmas cards for my craft shows.  On Monday I posted a card using Making Christmas Bright and today I am using that same stamp set.   However, I am stepping it up with a different fold.  This fold is very similar to the one I posted a couple of weeks ago for Halloween.  Now it is Christmas’s turn and that is the theme of the Blog Hop …. folds.

Let the Season Shine

I don’t know about you, but for me, Christmas is my favorite season and love looking at the beautiful decorations.  Especially the decorated trees.   So let us continue to get the season going.  Yesterday was the lights and tomorrow you will get more light ideas, but today we are focusing on the tree. I used the new Winter Woods in the Holiday catalog.  It has the perfect framelit to cut out the tree and it gives some dimension to it.  Then I added texture to it with the Softly Falling Embossing Folder and sparkle. The sparkle came from the Silver Foil and the Red Rhinestones.  In fact, you can get a package with a $75 or great order FREE.

If you can come to Coffee and Cards at one o’clock we will be making this card.  The theme for it is Christmas.   I have a special offer seeing I am getting it back up 4 cards for $10. This includes the supplies, but you must RSVP by Wednesday night so I have every ready to go.  Just email me at pamela@stampinpinkrose.com. We will have a lot of fun!

Light Up the Season

I have been working on Christmas cards this weekend.  I was supposed to be at a craft show in the Kansas City area, but it was canceled.  The Midwest is getting socked in with copious amounts of rain and it is not over yet.  We are now in a flood warning.  So I will keep creating my cards for my next show this weekend.  For today’s card, I used Making Christmas Bright.  There are so many versions of this stamp set even though it is light bulbs.  This card has a twist that I stumbled on by accident.  I was digging on my shelf for magnets and ran across the Stampin’ Up Crystal Effects  It gives a shiny effect on the light bulbs.  If you still have it, dig it out.  It is retired.  I hope you can see it in the photo.

There is a Blog Hop on Wednesday and you will find another idea for this stamp set then.  Make sure you check in on Wednesday.  Don’t forget newsletter goes out Tuesday and Twelve Weeks of Christmas will go out for my newsletter subscribers on Wednesday. So if have not subscribed today.
