Last week I brought you cards using the Making Christmas Bright stamp set which required using the punch.  I am continuing to use that punch this week.  Only this time the lights have become reindeer. The reindeer faces I just drew on with my Black Marker. It is a very simple card to make but has a twist.  Notice that I used the Wreath Embossing Folder.   There is something special about that wreath.   It is covered in the Frosted Glimmer Paint.  I know it is probably hard to see the sheen on it, but I think it adds so much. Have you ordered the Shimmer Paint?  If yes, don’t you love it?

I know sending “Happiest Christmas Wishes” with these cute reindeer will bring a smile to their face.  I used one of the retired punches to punch the greeting out.  You could just do a banner for the greeting.  So add this card to your Christmas card list and order the stamp set today. Stuck on Christmas

I am still stuck on Christmas cards.  Stampin’ Up! has given us so many wonderful products and ideas for the Holidays.    It is hard to choose what to work on.  You can make it as simple as you want or as complex as you want.  I wouldn’t say today’s card is complex nor is it simple.  I can tell you it is not quick because of cutting out the flowers.  The one good thing is that you don’t have to remove all the chads.  That is because you can hide part of it under the greeting.  With the beautiful Under the Mistletoe Designer Series,  you will make an elegant card.  Notice there is Gold Foil along the edges.  Each side of gold was cut 3/4″  This way you don’t waste the paper.

Encore Time

Rarely do I show a retired stamp set, but Blended Season is an exception. Hence, encore time. The framelit alone is worth digging out.  However, there is so much more to this stamp set.  Whether you want a thinking of you, Fall, or Christmas like I chose to do for this card.  When I got it back in August I said that this stamp set would not be silent.  So today I am ringing the bell for you to pull it off your shelf.  Then grab your Blends because it is time to color.

Don’t forget if you are in the Des Moines area on Saturday, August 13th to stop by the Gloria Dei Church on Aurora in Urbandale. the craft show is 8:30 to 3 pm.  I will have free Stampin’ Up! catalogs with coupons and my class schedule.

By the way, I have mentioned changes on the way.  My new class schedule is one and my new lighting.  I would love to hear your thoughts on the lighting.  Also, let me know if there is a class you like for me to offer in my home or online.  Suggestions are always welcomed because I am here to help you enjoy stamping.
