Christmas paper.  I just love the All is Bright Designer Series Paper.  It is so festive!   I used the light bulb paper for today’s card. Of course, I had to add some glimmer paper to the card and went back to the Timeless Tidings that used the other day.  I know sending this card will create memories and bring old ones back.  After all, can’t you remember gathering around the tree as a child with the lights shining brightly?

Sending Merry Thoughts

It soon will be time to send Merry Christmas thoughts to friends and family, but now is the time to prepare.  So today is the day to starting planning your Christmas Cards. I start with a list of who is getting them and figure out their likes or taste.  Are they into traditional, modern or quirky cards?  Next, browse through the Stampin’ Up! Holiday catalog, but don’t forget the stamps in the Annual Catalog.    Make a list of the stamps, ribbon, paper, and embellishment you need.  Don’t order yet because a 24-hour flash sale starts on Tuesday, October 23rd.  You will be able to save 15%.   Then on Tuesday place that order so that you can start on those special cards. I know one the stamps you are going to want is Timeless Tidings. It has the most beautiful words.  You will find it works for the inside and outside of the cards.  There are so beautiful images. In fact, I used the tree in this set for today’s card. Plus the wonderful Woodlands Embossing Folder.  I have to tell you my favorite ink of the season is Shaded Spruce.

Create and Add Sparkle

It is that simple to create a beautiful card and add sparkle with the new Shimmer Paint.  This time I sSpitzerit onto Swirls and Curls Embossing Folder.  Then I went Back to the framelits from Blended Season on in August.  Remember I told you this framelit was my go-to framelit. Look at the beautiful stitching around the edge.  I hope you didn’t miss it!  Speaking of retired stamp sets and framelits, keeping watching a new suite that involves snow and great words for year round use. All Coming in November.

To complete this card I went to Merry Christmas All Set.  It has such beautiful words for inside or outside your card.  Think of the miles you will get out of this stamp set.  Are you wondering about the color?  It is a returning color… Coastal Cabana.  The ribbon was one I had in my drawer.  I need to order the Metallic-Edged Ribbon. It would be perfect for this card.
